Permanent Secretaries Rejoice With Colleague

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Social Re-orientation, Mrs. Margaret Udom, was among the numerous Permanent secretaries who rejoiced with their colleague, Barr. Udo Asamudo, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s office, at Qua Iboe Church (QIC), Uyo Township, recently.
The occasion was a special thanksgiving to God by the family of Barr. Udo Asamudo over God’s blessing on the family for the past 22years.

Akpabio Inaugurates Commission on Witchcraft Accusations

Governor Godswill Akpabio has inaugurated a commission of Inquiry into witchcraft accusations and Child Rights abuses in the state.
The six-man Commission has Justice Godwin Abraham as the Chairman and Uduak Victor Ekwere Esq as the Secretary. Members include Barr. Theresa Obot, Dr. Esssien Edward Essien, Dr. Okon Akaiso and Bishop Koko Bassey.

NOA Charges Traditional Fathers On Voters Registration

Traditional Rulers in the country have been enjoined to complement the efforts of the National Orientation Agency, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in educating the people on the need to participate actively in the forthcoming voters registration exercise.

AKSG To Construct More Roads In Ikot Abasi

Akwa Ibom Government has reiterated its commitment to commence the construction of some road in Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency in the state soon.
Governor Godswill Akpabio who announced this at a rally organized for him by Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency mentioned Essene Road and Atan River Bridge. Already, the government has constructed and completed 19 roads in Ikot Abasi Urban.

Perm. Sect. Commends Staff Of Parasatals Under Information Ministry

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Social Re-orientation, Mrs. Margaret Udom has commended staff of Akwa Ibom Newspapers Corporation (AKNC), Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC), the Ethical and Attitudinal Re-orientation Commission (EARCOM) and those of the Government Printing Press, for their commitment and dedication to duties.
The Permanent Secretary made the commendation recently, during a visit to these establishments as part of her familiarization tour of parastatals under the ministry of Information and Social Re-orientation.
