17 Projects For Ibesikpo Asutan

It was a commissioning galore as, 17 people-oriented and life touching projects executed by the State Government through the Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Co-ordinating Committee, were inaugurated in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
The projects comprise of; the newly constructed four new square extension offices, Northern Ibesikpo District Court, Ikot Oduot; a classroom block at Lutheran Primary School, Owot Uta and also three classroom blocks with its Assembly Hall at Primary School, Ikot Okure.
Also commissioned were the classroom blocks at Afaha Ikot Owop, the Perimeter Fence at Air Force Comprehensive School, Okop Ndua Erong; new classroom block at Government School, Ikot Oku Akpan, drainage/gutters and perimeter fence/gate house at Asutan Ekpe District Court, Ikot Obio Nko.
Others were Primary Health Centre Block, Ikot Akpa Asia; conditioned six classroom blocks at Primary school, Ikot Enua, electrification of Edem Ibiok/Oku Ibesikpo and mini water/perimeter fence at Southern Ibesikpo District Court.
Speaking at the occasion, the state Governor, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, noted with delight and satisfaction the team spirit exhibited in the area and total support to his administration by the people.
While commending the Chairman for the unity he has been able to forge, Governor Akpabio expressed appreciation for the prevailing peace in the area and promised that more developmental projects will be sited there, and charged them to continue to be united in their support for the Chairman and by extension, the present administration in the State.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Finance and Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Co-ordinating Committee, Mr. Bassey Albert Akpan, said that besides the commissioned projects, there were other 23 ongoing ones in the area and assured them of more.
Mr. Akpan, who appreciated the Governor for the opportunity to serve in the Committee, promised to work even harder in translating the vision of the present administration into reality.
Welcoming the Governor to his domain, the Chairman, Ibesikpo Asutan, Mr. Chris Essien, noting that the Governor had more than fulfilled all his electioneering promises, described him as a leader that responds to the cries and yearnings of his people, as well as assured him of their total support.
Speaking separately on behalf of benefiting communities, former Chairman, Civil Service Commission and community leader, Afaha Ikot Owop, Obong Edem Akpainyang; Village Head of Ikot Oduot, Eteidung, Asuquo Akpan Obot; Deputy Headmaster, Lutheran Primary School, Mr. Ime UdoAbasi, all expressed their appreciation to the State Government, while pledging heir people’s loyalty.
