Aero Contractors to Begin Flight Operations at AKIA

The Akwa Ibom International Airport is fast transforming into a bustling beehive of activity as another airline, Aero Contractors, is soon to commence commercial flight operations at the Airport.

Commending the initiative of the Airline, the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio assured the Head of Commercials of the Company, Mr. Robert Prophet and other management staff who accompanied him, during a courtesy call in Government House, Uyo, that the government and people of Akwa Ibom were ready to welcome Aero Contractors.

The governor who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Patrick Ekpotu, described the coming together of the airline and Ibom International Airport as a fusion of two great brands, saying the “the airport, conceived to provide international aviation services, is already receiving wide acclaim and patronage”.

Governor Akpabio assured the company that his administration was prepared to give special considerations that would enable the airline provide efficient and satisfactory services to the people.

In attendance during the visit were some members of the State Executive Council and the chairman of the Airport Implementation Committee, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga.

Speaking earlier the Head of Commercials, Aero Contractors, Mr. Robert Prophet, had commended the rate of development taking place in Akwa Ibom under the administration of Chief Godswill Akpabio adding that his company looked forward to a unique and faithful partnership with the State.
