Council Boss Extols FG

The Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government, Obong Godwin Ekpo has commended the Federal Government for setting aside a day to observe and celebrate the Nigerian Child.
Speaking at Oko-Ita during the Children’s Day, Obong Ekpo observed that the celebration would engender physical development, intellectual advancement and fulfillment of the Nigerian Child.
He implored the parents to train their children with such virtues like hardwork, dedication, respect, obedience honesty and transparency and shun negative vices like drug abuse, kidnapping, robbery, cultism, political thuggery and alcoholism.
He commended the administration of Chief Godswill Akpabio for his free and compulsory education programme from primary to senior secondary observing that it has impacted positively on Akwa Ibom people.
The event attracted eminent personalities of the area such as the Paramount Ruler of Ibiono Ibom, Okuku Ime Udo Usoro Inyang and the leader of the legislature, Engr. Dominic Udoatan, councilors and women groups among others.
