LG Chairman Donates To Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio

The Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Ikot Abasi Local Government, Elder Archibong Umoh has donated N200,000.00 on behalf of the Local Government Council towards the development of the Secretariat of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio and also made a personal donation of N100,000.00 towards the development of Mboho Unity School.
Elder Archibong Umoh announced the donation at the Council Hall, Ikot Abasi while playing host to new Executive Council members of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio who paid him a courtesy visit.
The Council Boss congratulated the International President and Exco members of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio on their emergence and charged them to embark on policies and programmes that will enhance peaceful co-existence of members of Mboho and the progress and development of Ibibio nation, as well as the entire Akwa Ibom State.
He called on members of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio to rally round the International President and the new Exco to enable them succeed, and promised the support of the Council to activities of Mboho.
Elder Archibong Umoh extolled the remarkable performance of the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio and appealed to members of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio to canvass support for the second term bid of the Governor in 2011.
Speaking earlier, the International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Akparawa Nse Ubeh said coming to Ikot Abasi was the first major assignment of the new Exco after inauguration on July 24, 2010 and that they were in Ikot Abasi to pay homage to the land of their first Grand Patron, the late Justice Egbert Udo Udoma.
He commended the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio for appointing Elder Archibong Umoh as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee in Ikot Abasi and congratulated the Chairman on his appointment and on his impressive performance since assumption of office.
Akaparawa Nse Ubeh who is also Special Assistant to the Governor on Projects Monitoring promised to work towards the unity and progress of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, the Ibibio nation and the entire Akwa Ibom State.
On his part, the immediate past International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio and Rector, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Akparawa Sylvester Akpan thanked Elder Archibong Umoh for the warm reception accorded them and expressed the hope that the new Executive of Mboho will harness the common sense of purpose of members of the Ibibio Socio-cultural group for its greater glory.
