LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOSS PLEDGES TO NIGERIAN LEGION

This year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration has been rounded off in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area with military parade and laying of wreaths on the tomb of the unknown soldiers at the council cenotaph, Afaha Offiong.
Addressing the occasion, the Executive Chairman of the Council , Elder Jshua Eyo Asuquo reiterate his administrations continued support to the legionaries and development of the area to make life more meaningful for people at the grassroots in line with Governor Akpabio’s development agenda.
In his address, the Chairman, Nsit Ibom Council of the Legion, Major Uko Peter (CNC) rtd, expressed his appreciation to the council chairman for his continued support for the Legionaries and his development strides in Nsit Ibom.
The Legion Chairman conferred on the former military Governor of the state, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga as the Grand Patron of Nsit Ibom Council of the legion while the chairman, Elder Asuquo was installed as the Patron in recognition of their immense contribution to the legion and development of the nation. He pledged the unalloyed support of the Legion to the present government..
