Permanent Secretaries Rejoice With Colleague
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Social Re-orientation, Mrs. Margaret Udom, was among the numerous Permanent secretaries who rejoiced with their colleague, Barr. Udo Asamudo, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s office, at Qua Iboe Church (QIC), Uyo Township, recently.
The occasion was a special thanksgiving to God by the family of Barr. Udo Asamudo over God’s blessing on the family for the past 22years.
Addressing the occasion, Barr. Asamudo said that he was thankful to God for making him reach the peak of his Civil Service Career as a Permanent Secretary and for blessing him with a happy family with a hardworking wife and precious children.
In her contribution, the wife of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. (Mrs.) Naomi Udo Asamudo, a Lecturer in the Micro Biology Department of the University of Uyo, said she was thankful to God That after all trials and difficulties, she had successfully been awarded a Doctorate Degree in her discipline.
Dr. (Mrs.) Asamudo was full of praise to God for the uplifting in her family acer since she was married to her husband and expressed uniquely, the call-to-bar of her husband, Barr. Udo Asamudo, four years ago amidst suffering.
In his Homily, the Elder –in-charge of the worship service, Elder John Isuk, drawing his message from Luke 19:27 said, it was good to work diligently and be committed always as unto God, for God is the rewarder of good works.
Elder Isuk admonished Christians to put their faith and trust in God, the source of all good things, including security adding that evil practices only lead to destruction and eternal condemnation.
The service witnessed the presentation of a 10KVA generator to the church by the family of Barr. and Dr. (Mrs.) Udo Asamudo in appreciation of God’s favour and blessings; which was followed by prayers to the family by the church; hymns of praise, choruses, claps and dancing.
The roll call of the Permanent Secretaries included, Dr. Esther Etuk, Special Duties, Ms Emah Ebong, Science and Technology, Barr. Donatus Archibong, Ministry of Commence and Industry, Mr. George Akpabio, Office of the Secretary to the State Government and Mrs. Ekaette Umoh, Office of the Head of Civil Service, among others.
